      Ayurveda - the Science of Life - "you are what you eat"

It is especially important now to reconnect with our ritual and tradition of knowing where our food comes from, that it is safe to eat, and that our choices support the people who provide it. AND especially the JOY of social interaction with our friends and families in the pleasure of food. 
 
Learn the benefits of an Ayurvedic lifestyle, the Vedic approach to food choices, 
preparation, dining and eating while continuing to enjoy the foods you love!
 

    Students participate in a hands-on culinary experience using fresh,
    Organic and local seasonal ingredients.  We will share our preparations
    in a yogic community tradition of awareness and mindfulness, with time 
    for discussion, questions and answers -

    sending you home with confidence and enthusiasm to cook!

You will identify long-held distorted and habitual destructive breathing habits AND then breathing
practices to return you to your Original Breath that you were born to breathe your body and mind.
More oxygen to the brain means healthier brain, less susceptible to premature aging and disease.
 
This experience is beneficial and crucial to EVERYONE, but especially to those suffering needlessly 
with respiratory conditions, AND for Healthcare Professionals and their patients.

                                       Comments from Our Ayurveda Conferences

    "I attended an Ayurveda Weekend Conference in November, 2005 and in July, 2006 at Yoga Within & Healing Arts Center. These gave me the information I needed to work on bringing my body back into balance. It will be a gradual process since getting my body out of balance was by living a lifetime of unwise choices.
The medical doctors have run all kinds of tests and can find nothing wrong with me, but I was breaking out
in boils, not able to think clearly and aching all over. Gradually, I am getting better. I have more energy,
clearer thinking and less pain. My Ayurveda practice, along with my daily yoga and sessions with Lynn, and breathing, are all components of my healthy focus.     "My reason for writing this is to let people know that yoga is more than just poses. It is a way to heal
our minds and our bodies. With breathing and letting our active minds relax, we can gain a sense of calm.
 
    I came to Yoga Within & Healing Arts Center, and Lynn's teachings, for many reasons. One of which I
previously mentioned and another is my medical concerns. I knew that I needed to find other ways to help
heal myself. I have had IBS longer than they have had a name for it. In June, 2005, I was diagnosed with Colitis. Medication was not helping me with my condition. I had been learning and practicing yoga with Lynn
for one year (Jan.2005) and decided to take a leap of faith and attend the Ayurveda Conference, November
12 and 13, 2005. This became the first day of a new life for me. I could now go and do things like everyone else and not have to worry if my Colitis was going to keep me at home that day. For years, with
IBS, I would wonder if it would be a bad day or a good day. More bad days than good days.
 
I have a new freedom in my life due to my yoga practice and Ayurveda program that I have followed since
the November Ayurveda Conference. Lastly, I would like to suggest to anyone with any kind of condition to consider attending the next Ayurveda conference. With the help of trained professionals and the years of experience and dedication Lynn brings to our Center, your life can only become healthier and your mind
quiet. With Ayurvea and my yoga practice, my life has been changed forever."
